Cochran Mill 25/14K – Spring
25K & 14K
Date: Postponed
Location: Cochran Mill Park
6875 Cochran Mill Rd
Palmetto, GA 30268
Trail Runners,
This is one of the most challenging messages I’ve had to draft but we are in challenging times.
After more discussions with the City of Chattahoochee Hills and their leaders, they have asked us to postpone the April 4th events. We want everyone to be safe and healthy.
Peak Racing typically has both a Spring and Fall event at Cochran Mill Park. However, we only plan to hold a Fall one in 2020, keeping the 25k / 14k format. We will defer everyone to our Fall event and work to make it seamless for you all.
The parks and recreation department is closed and cannot discuss future dates at this time. Our team will let you know once we have the new Fall date.
We appreciate your understanding and patience. Please do all possible to be safe and healthy. We look forward to running with you in the future.
Tony and the Peak Racing crew

COURSE INFO & MAP
The 25K
You will begin at 8:00am in the grassy field where you park then enter the woods onto a flat to rolling Yellow loop. Once you reach the first stream, you will find a few more hills but also a lot more of the beautiful scenary the park has to offer. You will cross the famous Henry Mill Falls where you will get your feet wet a bit, then start a slow climb through a moderally challenging Red loop. We will bring you back over the falls where you will complete the Yellow loop to the flat finish and back to the field where we started. You will hit all the trails on that side of the park, plus a couple many of you have not seen prior to race day!
Note: There will be two aid stations and you will hit the first once twice. With a 4 or so mile gap between aid stations, we recommend bringing a hand-held or hydration pack if you feel you need more fluids. Aid stations will have water and Tailwind Nutrition, with some Huma gels on the second aid station for the 25k.
25k finishers earn their finisher’s medal!
The 14K
We will start with the 25k and cover the same route until the trail splits at the famous “Falls”. You will finish the Yellow Loop, then take the same rolling trail back to the field where you will finish.
Note: There will be one aid station that you pass twice. With a 3 or so mile gap between the passes, we recommend bringing a hand-held or hydration pack if you feel you need more fluids. The aid station will have water and Tailwind Nutrition.
